LDS IMPROVES LIVES
The Lutheran Development Service in Liberia (LDS-Liberia) is a semiautonomous non-governmental organization that was established in January 2002. It is the development arm of the Lutheran Church in Liberia charged with the responsibilities to provide development and humanitarian services to God’s people in an impartial way. LDS has a clear vision and a clear mandate which continue to guide its operations. It is a transitional organization that took over the activities of the Lutheran World Federation/Department for World Service Liberia Program – LWF/DWS/Liberia
LDS is currently implementing projects for two faith-based organization, ACT Alliance and Bread for the World.

Bread for the World (BftW) is a german faith-based humanitarian and development organization.It has supported LDS community improvement activities in agriculture, health and sanitation.
During the period under review, a consignment of assorted tools and seeds were delivered and distributed to six (6) refugee groups for production of food
The Lutheran Development Service in Liberia graduates ninety-four (94) adult learners within four (4) of the project cluster (Paye-ta & Global village in Zota district);
