The Community Livelihood Assistance Project (CLAP) is transforming the lives of volunteer teachers in Salayea District, Lofa County, by providing much-needed support, resources, and opportunities for professional development. This initiative aims to improve education quality while ensuring the sustainability of community-driven education efforts.

Key Achievements

Through CLAP, volunteer teachers have received financial stipends, teaching materials, and specialized training to enhance their teaching skills. The project has significantly increased motivation among educators, leading to improved student performance and engagement.

One of the most impactful achievements of the project has been the introduction of PTA School Gardening as an income-generating activity for Parents to raise money to pay teachers. By supporting School Garden, CLAP has strengthened the Parent and Teacher Association to support volunteer teachers to sustain themselves financially, reducing reliance on irregular external funding.
